  • Cost Transformation – reimagining cost structures across people, non‑people costs, S&GA, COGS, opex and capex using zero‑based approaches
  • Value Realisation – hands‑on management of delivery and financial impact in cost reduction and turnaround programmes
  • Culture change – architecting the soft and hard measures required to instill a cost‑conscious mindset and sustain benefits
  • Turnaround / Operational Restructuring – accelerated cost out and crisis management
  • Fix‑Sell‑Close – developing strategic restructuring options for under‑performing businesses or divisions

Your Key Responsibilities As a Director you will advise clients across a variety of sectors, support decision makers to develop and implement strategic transformations, identify and realise value, drive new business origination and pitches, own key client relationships, lead project delivery and translate operational insights into clear financial outcomes. You will also shape the cost transformation and/or operational restructuring value propositions, contribute to thought leadership and practice growth, build the profile of the operational strategy practice and coach junior team members.

  • Project Delivery – lead project delivery teams and oversee engagement management.
  • Account/Client Management – manage key client accounts and demonstrate commercial success.
  • Financial Analysis – excellent quantitative skills linking operational drivers to P&L, cash and balance sheet impacts.
  • Business and Commercially Driven – fast‑paced environment, strong business acumen.
  • Value Creation – identify strategic priorities, quantify potential and develop measures to realise value.
  • Report Writing – produce clear, concise client‑ready reports.
  • Business Development – lead pitches and practice development initiatives.
  • Learning – desire to develop technical and personal skills.
  • Stakeholder Management – engage senior stakeholders and influence outcomes.
  • Role Model – act as a role model supporting the development and coaching of team members.

Qualifications Extensive experience in multiyear enterprise‑wide transformation programmes, cost transformation, large‑scale programmes, operational restructuring, turnaround, strategic options assessments, crisis management and exit/closure implementations across sectors. Preference for Tier‑1 strategic consultancies. Cross‑industry experience is welcomed, but preferred sectors include Consumer Goods & Retail, Automotive, Industrials, Aerospace & Defence, Energy & Utilities.

Additionally You Must Have:

  • Strong analytical skills linking operational analysis to financial statements.
  • Experience building strong senior client relationships, influence and advice.
  • Passion for organisational change from drafting a case for change to implementing programmes.
  • Experience leading sales and business development in large‑scale consulting environments.
  • Track record of successful project delivery in corporate businesses.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, producing high‑calibre reports and presentations.
