As a Category Management Consulting Manager, it’s your responsibility to translate our propositions on paper into reality for our clients, demonstrating competency in deploying our capabilities seamlessly into retailers’ existing or to-be working practices and enabling them to better utilize data for the benefit of their customers and their short‑and‑long‑term commercial outcomes. This is a 12-month fixed term contract.
You’ll be confident in utilizing the entirety of the dunnhumby Category Management toolkit, across Price, Promotion, Range, and Space, to command results, whether through best‑in‑class strategic consulting, extraction of key insights and recommendations from our managed services, or configuration and embedding of our self‑service software solutions. Your experience in retail is a key skill set, allowing you to build trust from operational through executive partners, and ensuring your recommendations are followed through. You understand the nuances and complexities of large matrix organisations and how to successfully promote and enable change across entire departments or businesses.
Key Accountabilities- Business Discovery work – carrying out interviews to understand the maturity of a client's CatMan capability, comparing it to global best practices, and scoping recommendations and a roadmap to grow maturity.
- Understand the client’s current category management processes, and define the to‑be process for embedding dunnhumby tools and services alongside retailer ways of working.
- Work alongside a market team and ADS resource to collaboratively scope, define, create, and deliver recommendations and services to the client, supporting and leading where necessary.
- Leaning on the wider dunnhumby community to be the conduit of best practices and thought leadership.
- Following the completion of the project, build compelling Category Management case studies based on the value we've added for the client.
