What this role is all about:
We are looking for an Actuarial Manager to join the Life Prophet Modelling team, playing a key role in the development, maintenance and enhancement of Vitality's actuarial modelling capability. This position is responsible for ensuring Prophet models remain robust, accurate and fit for purpose, supporting financial reporting, valuation, capital and pricing activities while contributing to the ongoing evolution of actuarial modelling across the business
Key Actions
Develop, maintain and enhance actuarial models using Prophet Enterprise and Prophet Professional
Support the end-to-end model development lifecycle including testing, governance, deployment and production releases
Translate business requirements into technical modelling specifications and solutions
Enhance models to meet regulatory requirements and evolving business needs
Identify and implement automation and efficiency improvements to actuarial processes and model performance
Perform model validation and testing to ensure reliability, accuracy and regulatory compliance
Maintain robust model governance, documentation and change control standards
Collaborate with actuarial, finance, technology and wider business teams to integrate modelling solutions
Provide technical leadership and guidance on model development priorities and best practice
Support internal and external audit activities relating to actuarial modelling and valuations
