Business Development Manager

Horsforth / Hybrid

£28k – £30k base + uncapped commission (OTE £5k–£7k)

Working hours: 1pm – 9pm (supporting a US-based client)

Sales isn’t about chasing leads. It’s about shaping growth. At Matter, every call, message, and insight moves the needle. We don’t just contribute to sales—we own the outcome.

This role will see you working closely with one of our US clients, which means a 1–9pm shift pattern. The upside? Your mornings are your own, and once you’re up and running, you’ll have the flexibility to work from home 1–2 days a week.

What You’ll Actually Do

This isn’t your typical sales gig. You’ll represent some of the world’s most exciting B2B brands, backed by AI + smart data. Your role? Making real connections, spotting real opportunities, and turning conversations into conversions.

How You’ll Work

  • Talk it out. Have quality conversations, not cold calls. You’re here to start something real.
  • Be social. Use LinkedIn like a pro: DMs, video intros, sharing killer content.
  • Automate smart. Run email cadences that hit at the right time, with the right message.
  • Use video. Personalised 1:1 videos to get noticed and build trust.
  • Tell the story. Capture insights, feedback, and data to help shape the sales journey.

What Makes You Matter

We’re all about owning outcomes, so we’re looking for people who:

  • Are confident communicators (written, verbal, video).
  • Stay curious, sharp, and self-motivated.
  • Want to learn fast and grow faster.
  • See tech as the future, not a hurdle.
  • Have some sales or B2B experience (not essential, but a plus).

What We Believe

  • Own the outcome. You don’t just do your part—you make things happen. From pitch to performance, this is your space to drive results.
  • Connect What Counts. Sales, marketing, ops—it all connects. We stay aligned, share better, and move faster together.
  • Fly the flag. We’re leaders, not passengers. You’ll be trusted to take initiative, bring energy, and represent the brand with pride.

What’s In It For You

  • £28k – £30k base + uncapped commission.
  • Hybrid working (WFH 1–2 days/week post-probation).
  • 1-minute walk from Horsforth station (Leeds).
  • Real career progression in a fast-growing team.
  • High energy, low ego culture.
