We are recruiting for a number of Systems Engineering roles, but wherever you go, you will work on real engineering problems, designing and developing solutions that sit at the heart of our products.
What We Need From YouIdeally, you will have a science-based Honours degree or equivalent experience. You will have worked in industry, or will have advanced academic research experience. We are not expecting you to have electronic warfare domain knowledge as we can provide support for that. What we are looking for are systems engineers with applied engineering experience that we can build upon through training, team working and mentoring.
Whether you specialise in a part of the systems engineering lifecycle or have a broad breadth of knowledge across it, we want to hear from you if you have experience in any of the following areas:
- Systems Engineering specialisms, e.g.
- Problem definition
- Systems Architecture
- Synthetic Environments
- Systems Modelling and Analysis
- Integration
- Verification and Validation
- Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)
- Able to apply systems thinking to customer problems and propose innovative solutions
- Experience of working with related specialisms such as safety, security, reliability etc. to deliver robust systems
- Digital signal processing
- RF systems
- Multi-sensor data fusion and tracking
- Real time data simulation/generation
- Military Electronic systems
- AI / ML techniques to draw insights from large data sets
- Operational Experience in Electronic Intelligence or Electronic Warfare
- The protection systems for current and future RAF aircraft, including Typhoon and Apache
- The technology development platforms being developed by the UK’s Team Tempest to support the development of a new 6th generation aircraft within the Global Combat Air Programme (GCAP).
- Concept demonstrators for future Electronic warfare technologies and systems
- Air Platform Protection systems for export customer aircraft
- Technology to draw insights from the vast amounts of data collected by our electronic surveillance systems using artificial intelligence and machine learning.
- Creating plans for and leading systems engineering activities such as:
- Early concept studies
- Engagement with stakeholders to define requirements for a new system
- Cost and functional performance trade-offs
- Upgrading in-service equipment
- Designing and integration of new functionality
- Designing and prototyping of detailed system models
- Prototyping algorithms
- Investigating the cause of anomalies observed during integration or evaluation activities
- Integration and testing activities
- Lead identification of risks and mitigation strategies including opportunities, using team specialists and strengths
- Lead the generation of reports and presentations for delivery to customers and industry partners, potentially acting in review and approval roles such as Design Authority for particular products
- Actively engaging in knowledge sharing and exploitation of good practice, including external involvement with professional bodies/ institutions
