What This Role Is All About:

As our Lead Healthcare Analyst, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping how we manage healthcare claims, understand risk and improve performance, turning complex data into clear, compelling insight that drives real impact across the business. You’ll be a recognised expert in healthcare and claims analytics, setting the standard for analytical excellence and owning high-risk, high-impact challenges that help guide the organisation forward with confidence. This is a hands-on leadership role where advanced analytics meets influence - leading complex workstreams end-to-end, developing analysts, and partnering closely with clinical, operational and commercial teams to turn insight into action.

Key Actions:

  • Own specialist delivery within your domain, acting as the recognised subject-matter expert for complex, high-impact analytical work, and leading critical analytical components of projects where deep expertise is required.
  • Shape strategic understanding by delivering insights across claims fund performance, utilisation, clinical risk, provider benchmarking, and emerging trends.
  • Provide evidence-based analysis to manage cost, utilisation, risk, and value while balancing sustainability, clinical appropriateness, and member experience.
  • Create, implement and lead end-to-end delivery of complex analytical workstreams from methodology design through to insight.
  • Define and evolve scalable analytical capability to produce timely, high-quality analysis and clear narratives to support senior strategic, clinical, and commercial decision-making.
  • Lead on the development and enhancement of dashboards, and analytical assets, supporting automation and scalable insight delivery.
  • Establish and uphold analytical standards and governance, ensuring outputs are accurate, consistent, transparent, and compliant with regulatory and organisational requirements.
  • Design and deliver advanced analytical models to forecast claims fund performance, identify emerging cost and utilisation risks, and support proactive fund management decisions.
  • Lead the development of advanced analytical techniques to detect anomalous claims behaviour, emerging fraud risks, and assurance issues, providing proactive intelligence to support prevention and investigation.
  • Partner with Health Commercial and Health Operations teams to deliver advanced analytical insight that supports claims fund performance, utilisation management, and financial sustainability.

What do you need to thrive?

  • Senior-level experience in UK healthcare insurance, health claims, public health or clinical analytics, operating as a Senior or Lead Analyst and delivering complex analysis end-to-end.
  • Proven use of analytics to support commercial, clinical and operational decision-making, with strong healthcare claims or commercial acumen.
  • Deep specialist expertise in clinical and/or fraud analytics, applied to complex, high-impact healthcare or claims challenges.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to present and influence senior and non-technical audiences using clear, compelling insight.
  • Experience applying advanced analytical techniques (e.g. statistical modelling, segmentation, forecasting, anomaly detection) to claims, utilisation or risk.
  • Proven ability to work cross-functionally across clinical, operational and commercial teams to support claims management, risk, fraud/assurance and financial sustainability.
  • Experience using BI and visualisation tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
