We have a fantastic new job opportunity for an individual who, as an Insurance Technician, works as part of a team under the direction of a Team Manager. The role involves performing standard technical checks and processes related to the risks being processed to ensure that agreed market SLAs in respect of turnaround and quality are achieved. An Insurance Technician works more independently with less technical supervision, handling more complex work and providing support to less experienced employees. All work processed must meet agreed service levels for quality and turnaround times. Training will be provided for all insurance documentation and systems required to perform the role.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Conduct technical checks on insurance documentation to ensure accuracy and notice discrepancies or errors.
  • Use specific IT based systems to support the technical process with supervision or referral where applicable.
  • Liaise with customers and brokers to resolve queries and issues related to the work being processed.
  • Take ownership of own workload.
  • Input details into the database to initiate settlement or updates.
  • Complete accurate reporting associated with the work being processed.
  • Support team members and customers with complex technical issues.
  • Provide training to team members and new recruits.
  • Support and input to innovation and process improvement projects.
  • Review and validate insurance documentation.

  • Computer literacy with working knowledge of Outlook and MS Office.
