The Role
We are looking for an Infrastructure Lead to join our Engineering team in London. This role is focused on building the infrastructure foundation on AWS for our analytics platform which will allow financial professionals to create bespoke surveillance controls and run them on provisioned infrastructure. You will be leading a team of software engineers tasked with delivering this, striving for a cost‑efficient, low‑latency and stable platform that utilises immutable deployment, containerisation and IaC strategies. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate great understanding of infrastructure technologies as well as software engineering, with the ability to deep dive into specific areas of the stack when required.
Responsibilities
- Manage and train a team of software engineers to write C#, CloudFormation and Terraform
- Identify underlying production issues, leveraging knowledge and experience to suggest actionable solutions
- Set clear team goals aligned with business priorities
- Partner with stakeholders to design our services, demonstrating the highest levels of professionalism throughout
- Collaborate with other teams across engineering as well as cross‑functionally
- Develop an excellent understanding of TradingHub’s key product
Requirements
- Significant software engineering ability using C# or another OOP language
- Previous experience designing from scratch using first principles as well as off‑the‑shelf technologies
- Excellent task management and commercial prioritisation skills
- Expertise with AWS technologies such as EC2, S3, ECS
- Comfortable working on multiple fast‑paced projects throughout their lifecycle
- Working knowledge of CloudFormation or Terraform
- Experience leading and developing high‑performing teams
