As a Head of Strategy and Operations, Google Cloud, go-to-market (GTM), you will jointly drive the business with the UKI executive leadership team, act as the Chief Operating Officer (COO) for the UKI and Sub-Saharan Africa (SSA) Vice President, and jointly own and drive the business through structured planning and operational cadences, leveraging your direct and virtual Strategy and Operations team.

You will be responsible for developing and deploying business strategy towards long-term, sustainable growth.

You will solve problems, work with data, and find solutions to help the broader team succeed.

  • Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10 years of experience in a management consulting, sales operations, business strategy or corporate advisory role.
  • 5 years of experience working with executive stakeholders.
  • 4 years of experience managing and leading teams.
  • Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in managing executive stakeholders in a trusted advisor role, with proven communication skills and ability to distill complex insights into executive narrative.
  • Track record of high productivity and meeting deadlines.
  • Ability to be flexible, self-supporting, and accustomed to high-growth, ambiguous situations; motivated to learn, and comfortable working as part of a team of professionals.
  • Executive storylining and communication skills, ability to craft a compelling narrative.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with the UKI/SSA VP and their Leadership Team to develop the organization’s strategy (including organization design, growth and business plan) becoming an integral part of the team.
  • Drive the business forward by developing/executing initiatives to accelerate growth and scale.
  • Establish and shape the way we work, through operational cadence, content of reviews, improvement initiatives and metrics, insights and reporting.
  • Run the business for your region and own key processes like business reviews and quaterly business reviews (QBRs).
  • Measure progress against goals, be aware of gaps and develop/implement plans to bridge them.
