Job Description
We’re looking for an exceptional Group Lead Designer to join our award-winning design team in London. You’ll be part of a team that defines, shapes, and elevates our brand proposition — crafting and leading discovery by creating experiences that are delightful, scalable, and unmistakably Wise. You’ll understand work that connects, and converts.
Your mission
You will be a lead of the team that owns logged out product discovery, directing compelling narratives for millions of prospective users worldwide and helping them choose Wise. Reporting to the Design Director for Account, you’ll play a key role in shaping one of the world’s most distinctive brands. As a discovery leader, you’ll set the benchmark for quality for new users, influencing and leading the creative vision and direction of logged-out. You’ll empower teams to move at speed without compromising on craft, bringing clarity and cohesion to all your touch points: app store, google play store, app intro, dotcom, referral and SEO products. You’ll have a strong grasp on creative work that moves the numbers: app installs, improved store performance, time on site, scroll depth, click through rate are all part of your lexicon.

About You
- Exceptional craft skills — You’re a multidisciplinary designer with a deep understanding of design fundamentals and a strong track record of delivering high-quality work across a variety of different touch-points.
- Demonstrates strong storytelling — In brand, digital products, UI, interaction, and experience design, showcasing a diverse skill set that isn’t just what work looks like - it’s what the work communicates.
- Expert in Figma, proficient in Adobe Suite and AI curious. From editing imagery and creating iconography to developing systems from scratch to prototyping with Claude, we’re interested in a mix of tooling experience but it’s not prescriptive.
- Systems thinking — You connect patterns, behaviours, and identify opportunities to innovate our system — driving consistency without rigidity.
- Craft meets strategy — You balance polish with purpose, ensuring design decisions ladder up to real user and business outcomes.
- Confident communication skills — You provide clear rationale to advocate for a design-led approach, sharing this approach with your team and stakeholders alike.
