Role Overview
The Network Engineer (EMEA & APAC) is responsible for maintaining, optimizing, and securing enterprise network infrastructure across virtual regional data centers and physical branch offices. Operating within an ITIL-driven framework, this role balances Network Operations (NetOps) tier-2/3 incident resolution with Network Engineering project delivery, including SD-WAN migrations and Cloud Security rollouts.
Key Responsibilities
1. Incident Resolution & Tier-2/3 Escalation
Serve as the primary technical escalation point for the Level 1 Network Operations Center (NOC).
Diagnose complex network performance bottlenecks, latency issues, and outages to maintain high availability.
2. Infrastructure Deployment & Branch Engineering
Lead remote staging, configuration, and provisioning of branch networking hardware.
Provide remote technical leadership to field engineers during physical rack-and-stack, cabling, and patching phases.
3. Project Engineering & Cloud Migrations
Implement network designs provided by Global Network Architecture teams.
Execute enterprise rollouts for Software-Defined WAN (SD-WAN) and Secure Access Service Edge (SASE) architecture.
4. Network Security & Compliance
Execute lifecycle patching, firmware updates, and vulnerability remediation across all network hardware.
Conduct automated and manual configuration audits to ensure 100% compliance with enterprise security baselines.
5. Proactive Maintenance & Capacity Planning
Monitor network telemetry and system health to identify and resolve performance degradation before impact.

Virtualization & SDN: VMware NSX (Microsegmentation), Ivanti Traffic Managers (ADC/Load Balancing)
