Role Overview

Financial Systems Strategy Senior Analyst within Barclays, responsible for defining and owning the financial crime systems strategy, focusing on KYC and customer risk assessment models.

Oversees maintenance and effective operation of financial crime systems across the entire customer lifecycle, managing multiple monitoring platforms, producing and analysing MI, and delivering data‑driven insights through advanced analytics, including the use of SAS.

Qualifications

  • Experience in a financial crime/fraud prevention environment.
  • Analytics tool experience such as SAS, Python, SQL.
  • Experience in identifying risk.
  • Awareness of risk and controls environment.
  • Stakeholder management experience.
  • Risk management experience/awareness.

Responsibilities

  • Development of strategic direction for risk, including the implementation of up-to-date methodologies and processes.
  • Management of the risk department, including oversight of risk colleagues and their performance, implementation of risk priorities and objectives, oversight of department efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Relationship management of risk stakeholders, including identifying relevant stakeholders, and maintenance of the quality of external third‑party services.
  • Adherence to Risk policy, standards and frameworks, and maintaining a robust control environment.

This role can be based in Edinburgh or Glasgow.
