In this role, you will act as a Programme Management Office (PMO) supporting a high‑profile, group‑wide cultural change programme within a large, regulated Financial Services environment. Operating at Assistant Vice President level, you will work within a transitional landscape where structures and ways of working are still being embedded.
You will provide hands‑on PMO support to ensure consistently quality programme delivery, while also enabling the transition from change initiatives into sustainable business‑as‑usual operations. Working closely with the Central PMO and senior stakeholders across the group, you will help align HR strategy across a broad portfolio of work as the programme moves toward closure, operating within an Agile delivery framework including Lean Portfolio Management.
You will support and influence senior leadership producing high‑quality materials and insights within a strongly governed environment that demands accuracy, precision, and sound judgement. As the programme enters its fourth year, you will navigate complexity, historical context, and multiple workstreams to understand impact and drive informed decision‑making.
This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to a successful, large‑scale transformation with significant investment and regulatory interaction, while shaping future ways of working across HR. To be successful as a Consistently Excellent PMO, you should have experience with:
- Experience supporting large‑scale change programmes, ideally end‑to‑end.
- PMO capability within a regulated Financial Services environment.
- Solid understanding of governance, risk, and programme controls.

Your role will be located from our Glasgow office.
Purpose of the role: To support change delivery managers in the delivery of successful projects, while ensuring that project management processes and practices are aligned with controls and governance standards and that projects are aligned with the organisation's strategic objectives.
Accountabilities:
- Support to change delivery managers, ensuring their programme is compliant with the Barclays Control Framework, including oversight of controls and governance standards.
- Creation and implementation of standardised PMO processes and methodologies that are aligned with controls and governance standards and that support the delivery of successful projects.
- Monitoring of project performance, including tracking of project progress, identification of risks, assumptions, issues and dependencies, and creation of a report on project status to senior management.
- Support of project documentation, including maintenance of project plans, schedules and budgets, and ensuring that project documentation is up‑to‑date and accurate.
- Facilitation of project governance, including ensuring that projects are aligned with the organisation's strategic objectives, and that project risks, assumptions, issues and dependencies are managed effectively.
- Provision of change management framework training to project managers and other stakeholders, ensuring that they have the necessary skills and knowledge to deliver successful projects.
- Continuous improvement of project management practices, including identification of areas for improvement and implementation of changes to improve project delivery.
