The predicted salary is between 35000 - 45000 € per year.

As an Event Co‑ordinator you will manage and deliver internal and external events for Barclays. You will work closely with internal clients to assess their needs, develop creative event solutions, and ensure Barclays' brand values are reflected in every event. You will plan, coordinate, and evaluate the end‑to‑end event process, overseeing more than 20 events per year and managing on‑site agencies and suppliers.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop a range of events, including conferences, exhibitions, product launches, and client entertainment.
  • Present event options and proposals to internal stakeholders, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Maintain effective relationships with clients, colleagues, and suppliers throughout the event design and delivery stages.
  • Plan and coordinate all aspects of event logistics: venue and vendor selection, production management, content development, delegate, host and speaker management, and on‑site coordination.
  • Manage hospitality programmes, leveraging Barclays‑owned sponsorship assets and contracted memberships as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls and identify, mitigate, and communicate potential risks.
  • Conduct post‑event or hospitality assessments to analyse success and identify areas for improvement.
  • Act as an expert advisor and partner to stakeholders, helping to meet their aims and objectives.
  • Build and maintain industry relationships with suppliers and experts to stay at the forefront of event and hospitality trends.

Qualifications

  • Experience managing and delivering various events, including conferences, exhibitions, and corporate entertainment, end to end.
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to oversee multiple events simultaneously.
  • Considerable experience handling senior stakeholders and conducting challenging conversations.
  • Creative thinking and excellent organisational skills.
  • Proficiency with event management systems and reporting tools.
