We're looking for a strategic and experienced Cyber Security Service Manager to support the delivery, governance, and continual improvement of Cyber Security Services across the Bank.

You'll be responsible for managing service performance and risk, supporting senior guidance with insight and direction, and ensuring technology services remain secure, resilient, and aligned to business objectives.

Acting as a key representative for Technology Services, you'll work closely with stakeholders across the organisation to drive operational excellence, manage risk, and support the Bank's ongoing success.

  • To be successful as a Cyber Security Service Manager, you should have experience with:
  • Using AI technology tools as part of daily work, including technical evaluation, report generation, plan development and executive reporting.

Experience simplifying processes, reducing manual effort and leveraging automation tools.

  • The ability to break down multi-layered technical assignments, explain the impact, and prioritise tasks based on data.
  • The ability to work across a highly matrixed organisation to drive progress and deliver broad objectives.

Ability to engage technical teams, senior leadership, suppliers and business stakeholders.

  • Experience with and an understanding of cyber security threats, vulnerabilities and the processes used to address them.

  • Using tools such as Python, Power Shell and others to automate repetitive work or script actions.
  • A keen understanding of data models, reporting and the ability to build views using various tools to support business goals.
  • Capability to interpret operational data, identify trends, manage and drive evidence-based decisions.
  • Knowledge of operational risk, controls, compliance, resilience, cyber recovery and governance processes.
  • Good ability to map and understand technical systems, their interconnections and the end-to-end flows that drive customer outcomes, including architecture, identity flows, network trust relationships, authentication mechanisms and business processes.

Purpose of the role

To manage the IT Services department and set the strategic direction, provide support to the bank's senior management team, and to manage IT Service risk across the organisation and represent Technology Service performance to senior stakeholders.

  • Accountabilities
  • Development of strategic direction for IT Services, including the implementation of up-to-date methodologies and processes.
  • Management of the IT Services department, including oversight of IT Services colleagues and their performance, implementation of departmental goals and objectives, oversight of department efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Relationship management of IT Services stakeholders, including identifying relevant stakeholders and maintaining the quality of external third party services.
  • Development and implementation of policies and procedures for IT Services, adherence of control targets and standards, managing adherence to group SLAs and controls associated with core technology production activities in incident, problem, and change.
  • Management of IT Services risk, including identification of potential IT Services risks, development of strategies to mitigate those risks, and maintaining alignment between the bank’s change and compliance functions.
  • Monitoring the financial performance of the IT Services department, including revenue, profitability, and cost control, driving value from any commercial agreements and strong management of any directly controlled costs.
  • Management of IT Services projects, including driving successful research and related product launches, and delivering integrated solutions to clients.
  • Effectively monitoring and maintaining the bank’s critical technology infrastructure and resolving more complex technical issues, whilst minimising disruption to operations.
