hackajob is collaborating with a leading client in the AI space and is looking for experienced Physics professionals to contribute to exciting project-based AI opportunities. This is project-based work β€” not permanent employment β€” giving you the flexibility to contribute on your own schedule while working on meaningful, well-compensated tasks.

What You'll Be Doing

  • You'll help build and validate computational problem sets used to train and evaluate AI models:
  • Designing original computational physics problems that simulate real physics research workflows
  • Creating problems that require Python (or equivalent) to solve, using NumPy, SciPy, SymPy, and related libraries
  • Ensuring problems are computationally intensive and cannot be solved manually within reasonable timeframes
  • Developing problems requiring non-trivial reasoning chains in mechanics, electromagnetism, thermodynamics, and quantum mechanics
  • Basing problems on real research challenges or practical applications from physics practice
  • Verifying solutions using Python with standard physics simulation libraries
  • Documenting problem statements clearly with verified correct answers

Who We're Looking For

  • Degree in Physics (Theoretical, Experimental, or Computational) or a related field
  • Python proficiency for numerical validation β€” MATLAB, R, C, SQL, Stata, or other languages also considered
  • 2+ years of professional, research, or teaching experience
  • Experience with numerical simulation methods
  • Ability to design problems that mirror real physics research workflows
  • Creative thinking in problem design across diverse physics areas
  • Familiarity with physics modelling and approximation techniques
  • Strong written English (C1+)

How It Works

  • Apply β†’ Pass Qualification(s) β†’ Join a Project β†’ Complete Tasks β†’ Get Paid

Once selected, you'll go through a straightforward onboarding process including platform registration, a short orientation, and ID verification β€” after which your first task will be ready to go.

Time & Payment

  • Up to $55/hour* depending on location, expertise, and project
  • Estimated ~10–20 hours/week during active project phases
  • Fixed project rates or individual rates, depending on the project
  • Some projects include incentive payments

Rates vary based on expertise, skills assessment, location, and project needs. Lower rates may apply during onboarding or non-core phases.
