The Google Cloud Consulting Professional Services team guides customers through the moments that matter most in their cloud journey to help businesses thrive. We help customers transform and evolve their business through the use of Google’s global network, web-scale data centers, and software infrastructure. As an Enterprise Architect, you will work with customers in helping transform their businesses through the use of Google Cloud Platform. You will work cross-functionally, providing pre-sales enterprise architecture support, solutions delivery and migration, and engineering expertise for Google’s largest customers. As part of the professional services team, you will work on customer Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and proposal processes, partnering with sales and customer engineering counterparts to deliver technical architecture and services strategy. You will also help in informing the scope of services staffing and timelines.
In this role, you will advise customers on architecture best practices and architectural blueprints as the foundation for migration to Google Cloud. You will be a part of a team that will propose, develop, and implement new approaches and strive for execution consistency and repeatability for these engagements. In addition, you will represent and deliver best practices across the areas of infrastructure, application, and data modernization, and more. You will collaborate cross-functionally within Google and support our services partner community. Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 7 years of experience troubleshooting technical issues for internal/external partners or customers.
- Experience in either system design or reading code (e.g., Java, C++, or Python).
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Business, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Engineering or Applied Science, or a related field.
- 10 years of experience managing projects and working with analytics, software coding, or customer-side web technologies.
- 10 years of experience with data analysis and SQL/MySQL.
- 10 years of experience in a customer-facing role.
- 10 years of experience in operations management (i.e., process improvement, operational reviews, optimizing workflows, etc.).
- 10 years of experience working with Unix or Linux operating systems/commands.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain relationships with executive cross-functional key stakeholders in customer or partner organizations to deliver or manage quality technical solutions and services.
- Influence major product decisions based on developer feedback or technical expertise.
- Lead the scalability of existing solutions or create repeatable solutions (e.g., best practices recommendations, tutorials, blog articles, sample code) and ensure effective documentation of repeatable solutions.
- Strategize surrounding solution code development in collaboration with internal or external developers, users, partners, clients, and stakeholders (as needed).
- Collaborate with cross-organizational stakeholders and in their respective process life-cycle to provide technical guidance or identify possible existing or new technical solution offerings to help shape outcomes.
