Join Barclays as a Campaign Manager within the Chief Data and Analytics Office (CDAO) where you will be a key player in supporting BUK’s commercial and transformation agendas. This role is responsible for delivering engaging, customer‑centric communication campaigns across multiple direct channels, ensuring messages are communicated at the right time and via the most effective channel. A Campaign Manager leads a virtual team, working to plan and execute strategic communication initiatives that align with required business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Campaign Execution: Lead the end‑to‑end delivery of large‑scale customer communication campaigns. Execute well‑timed, audience‑targeted communication plans that align with business operational and commercial objectives.
  • Campaign Oversight: Ensure all campaign elements—timing, budget, risk, and governance—are in control, across all functions.
  • Stakeholder Management and Collaboration: Act as an influential partner across the organisation to align campaign objectives with wider business strategies, supporting multiple programs such as audience builder and process simplification.

This role offers the opportunity to lead high‑impact communication campaigns, work with a dedicated team, and play a pivotal part in driving BUK’s transformation agendas through effective messaging strategies. The ability to manage competing priorities across multiple campaigns delivering in parallel, issue resolution and influence stakeholders is key to success in this role, as well as a contribution to process change.

To be successful as a Campaign Manager, you should have:

  • Experience in delivering customer communications: Proven track record of delivering impactful, large‑scale external customer communication campaigns with high attention to detail and effectiveness.
  • Stakeholder Management: Strong experience in working with stakeholders across large organisations, demonstrating excellent influencing skills to align business goals with campaign strategies.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas to stakeholders and management and effectively communicate with across the virtual team.
  • Resourceful and Agile: Ability to manage multiple priorities and pivot quickly between planning, troubleshooting, and governance control tasks.

Other Highly Valued Skills Include

  • Technical Knowledge of Communications Platforms: Familiarity with tools such as Salesforce Marketing Cloud, decisioning engines, and document composition platforms (e.g. OTX).
  • Change Management: Experience in managing process improvement and simplification projects, as well as an understanding of procedure documentation.
  • Risk Management: Knowledge and experience in managing operational risks, ensuring compliance and governance are maintained throughout the campaign delivery process.

Purpose of the role

To manage change projects that help the organisation achieve its strategic objectives, while ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, in control and in compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies and procedures.

Accountabilities

  • Management of change projects within the organisation, ensuring that they are delivered on time, within scope, budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Development and management of project plans that outline the scope, objectives, timelines, and resource requirements for change projects.
  • Communication with stakeholders, including senior management, project teams, and external partners, to ensure that they are informed about project progress and that their needs and expectations are being met.
  • Management of project teams, ensuring that they are properly resourced and that they have the necessary skills and expertise to deliver on project objectives.
  • Management of project budgets, ensuring that projects are delivered within the agreed budget.
  • Creation of reports on project progress to ensure that proposed solutions are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Management of project risks, ensuring that risk, assumptions, issues and dependencies are identified, assessed, and mitigated as necessary.
  • Facilitation of change management activities, including training and communication, to ensure that change projects are successfully implemented and embedded in the organisation.

Engage in complex analysis of data from multiple sources of information, internal and external sources such as procedures and practices (in other areas, teams, companies, etc) to solve problems creatively and effectively. Influence or convince stakeholders to achieve outcomes.
