Job Title: Business Architect

Key Responsibilities

  • Domain Model Development and Alignment:
  • Define, support, and maintain a comprehensive domain model.
  • Ensure alignment with enterprise-wide strategic goals and support cross-functional integration.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to validate and refine domain models to reflect evolving business needs.
  • Enterprise Design Leadership:
  • Support the development of enterprise architecture frameworks to meet business objectives and simplification initiatives.
  • Design and implement standardised processes to ensure consistency across business units and systems.
  • Facilitate the integration of enterprise design principles into operational and IT strategies.
  • Simplification Programme Support:
  • Provide architectural oversight to ensure simplification efforts align with the domain model and enterprise design.
  • Guidance and Capacity Building:
  • Offer expert guidance to business and IT teams on architecture best practices, standards, and methodologies.
  • Mentor and develop the core business architecture team to build long-term capacity and expertise.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration and innovation through workshops, training, and knowledge-sharing sessions.
  • Stakeholder Engagement and Communication:
  • Engage with senior leadership, business units, and IT teams to ensure alignment between business needs and architectural solutions.
  • Communicate complex architectural concepts clearly and concisely to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Act as a bridge between business and technical teams to ensure seamless delivery of architectural initiatives.

Required Skills And Qualifications

  • Experience:
  • Minimum of 7-10 years in business architecture, enterprise architecture, or related roles.
  • Proven track record in large-scale transformation projects.
  • Technical Proficiencies:
  • Deep understanding of domain modelling, enterprise architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF, Zachman), and business process management (BPM).
  • Experience in leading simplification or process optimisation initiatives with a focus on measurable outcomes.
  • Leadership and Communication:
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence stakeholders and mentor teams.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
  • Collaboration:
  • Ability to work both within the enterprise design team and independently with domains.
