Job Title: Business Architect
Key Responsibilities
- Domain Model Development and Alignment:
- Define, support, and maintain a comprehensive domain model.
- Ensure alignment with enterprise-wide strategic goals and support cross-functional integration.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to validate and refine domain models to reflect evolving business needs.
- Enterprise Design Leadership:
- Support the development of enterprise architecture frameworks to meet business objectives and simplification initiatives.
- Design and implement standardised processes to ensure consistency across business units and systems.
- Facilitate the integration of enterprise design principles into operational and IT strategies.
- Simplification Programme Support:
- Provide architectural oversight to ensure simplification efforts align with the domain model and enterprise design.
- Guidance and Capacity Building:
- Offer expert guidance to business and IT teams on architecture best practices, standards, and methodologies.
- Mentor and develop the core business architecture team to build long-term capacity and expertise.
- Foster a culture of collaboration and innovation through workshops, training, and knowledge-sharing sessions.
- Stakeholder Engagement and Communication:
- Engage with senior leadership, business units, and IT teams to ensure alignment between business needs and architectural solutions.
- Communicate complex architectural concepts clearly and concisely to non-technical stakeholders.
- Act as a bridge between business and technical teams to ensure seamless delivery of architectural initiatives.
Required Skills And Qualifications
- Experience:
- Minimum of 7-10 years in business architecture, enterprise architecture, or related roles.
- Proven track record in large-scale transformation projects.
- Technical Proficiencies:
- Deep understanding of domain modelling, enterprise architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF, Zachman), and business process management (BPM).
- Experience in leading simplification or process optimisation initiatives with a focus on measurable outcomes.
- Leadership and Communication:
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence stakeholders and mentor teams.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
- Collaboration:
- Ability to work both within the enterprise design team and independently with domains.
