Join Our Dynamic Team at OneAdvanced. We're seeking an exceptional Supplier Account Manager to join our talented team at OneAdvanced, a leading software supplier to the UK's higher education sector. As a key member of our sales team, you will play a pivotal role in cultivating and maintaining strategic partnerships with the suppliers on our purchasing (emarketplace) platform, driving growth, and supporting their strategic objectives through the effective use of our leading software solution. This role directly contributes to OneAdvanced's mission of “powering the world of work”.

As Supplier Account Manager, you will be responsible for leading the development and execution of strategic account plans for our key suppliers on our purchasing (emarketplace) solution, predominantly operating within the Higher Education sector. You will work closely with the suppliers to understand their strategic objectives, identify opportunities to create value through our software solutions, and deliver tailored support to ensure their success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain strong, strategic relationships with the marketplace suppliers.
  • Cultivate and maintain a deep understanding of our suppliers’ strategic objectives.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including product development, professional services, and support teams, to ensure that the suppliers receive seamless, end‑to‑end support and that our solutions meet their evolving needs.
  • Develop and execute strategic account plans, setting clear objectives, targets, and metrics for success, and driving growth through targeted sales initiatives and account management activities.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance to the suppliers on the effective use of the purchasing platform.
  • Use data‑driven insights to identify opportunities for innovation and improved customer outcomes.
  • Proactively manage risks to customer satisfaction and revenue, ensuring long‑term partnerships.

Qualifications

  • Proven track record of success in account management or supplier management.
  • Strong relationships with key decision‑makers in Higher Education suppliers, or the ability to build them quickly.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with customers, colleagues, and other stakeholders at all levels.
  • Experience influencing at board or executive level, with the ability to shape strategic direction.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and translate insights into action.
