Minimum (essential) Requirements

  • A proven ability of strong team skills, including working in a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Self-sufficiency and competency in using:
  • At least one configuration management or automation tool.
  • At least one of the following languages: Powershell, Bash, Python, Ruby, Go, Groovy.
  • Demonstrable experience in:
    • Automating, building and supporting modern digital service platforms in production environments.
    • Modern version control systems including git.
    • Using public cloud platforms (AWS or Azure).
    • Debugging complex problems across multiple servers, services and tools.
    • Having used the latest Continuous Delivery techniques and tools to build, test and deploy software.

    DESIRABLE

    • Third level - or equivalent - qualification in a related discipline.
    • Obtained entry-level certification with a public cloud provider (AWS/Azure).
    • Experience of cloud-native SaaS and PaaS technologies.
    • Working knowledge of how to secure and monitor web services.
    • Good verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate issues to other technical people, and sometimes to non-technical people.
