As a Product Manager at Kainos, you will combine your business and technical acumen to create captivating products. You will understand our customers and market, identifying their needs and challenges. Your insights will drive valuable solutions with great ROI. You will own the product roadmap, coordinating across functions for seamless execution and impact. You will lead innovative ideas to fruition, ensuring our products excel in the marketplace.
Responsibilities
- Market intelligence: understand market trends and ideal customer profile.
- Be an expert on buyers, how they buy and their buying criteria.
- Define the value proposition and measurable ROI for products and features.
- Own market segmentation and drive go‑to‑market activities.
- Manage product roadmap across multiple functional areas.
- Problem discovery and market needs analysis.
- Capture and articulate requirements directly from customers, prospects and internal teams (Sales, Presales, Delivery, Value teams and other Workday Subject Matter Experts).
- Define and build solutions to address market/customer needs.
- Price feature add‑ons and/or new product modules.
- Launch products and features, organizing and enabling internal teams such as delivery, marketing and onboarding to maximise impact.
- Run beta and early adopter programs with customers or development partners.
- Measure success and ROI for Kainos and customers.
- Know competition and maintain leading market position.
- Sustain relationships with customers and technology partners.
People Management Responsibilities
- Agree, set and review goals aligned to Kainos, Workday practice and your capability.
- Provide support to achieve team goals and keep performance on track.
- Review and refine goals for relevance and performance.
- Conduct 1:1 monthly or project completion feedback meetings.
- Provide and request regular feedback in Workday.
- Complete end‑of‑year reviews and agree outcomes for the year.
- Identify training to support development and pursue career paths.
- Review weekly workload forecasting, staff allocations and timesheet checks.
- Be actively involved in recruitment and interviews.
- Review attrition and retention metrics.
Minimum (essential) Requirements
- Previous experience as a SaaS Product Manager in an Agile software development environment.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience building, marketing, pricing and launching software products or comparable experience supporting sales.
- Experience running beta and early adopter programs with customers or development partners, or experience in an architect capacity in a Workday IMPL/Phase X project.
- Proven track record of working closely with business analysts, product development leads/architects to advance functional and non‑functional aspects of the product.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, and ability to listen, understand and build on others’ viewpoints.
- Attention to detail and ability to interpret supplied information and challenge where necessary.
- Ability to facilitate team meetings and group conversations.
- Good understanding of technology, digital services and trends.
- Strong ability to communicate effectively with the team and external stakeholders.
- Flexibility to travel when needed to customer and partner locations worldwide.
Desirable
- Experience with automated testing frameworks, data privacy, compliance or document management products.
- Experience integrating AI into commercial products to solve real business problems.
- Workday implementation experience.
