Main Purpose of the Role & Responsibilities in the Business

As an experienced Content Designer (Consultant) at Kainos, you will be responsible for creating clear, user‑centered content and making use of recognised content design guidelines and principles. You will be an advocate for user‑centered design, design thinking and service design, and passionate about guiding others in content design. You may also manage, coach and develop a small number of staff, with a focus on managing employee performance and assisting in their career development. You will be part of our growing Experience Design capability creating exemplary digital services. We are supportive, collaborative, talented, and hugely passionate about user‑centred design. Minimum (essential) Requirements

  • Lead and carry out the design of user‑centered content experiences, owning specific work areas
  • Expertise in planning, commissioning, creating and editing digital content across various channels
  • Can develop content strategies and recommendations based on user needs, research and analysis
  • Comfortable writing style and tone of voice guides
  • Able to contribute to the definition of KPIs within a service
  • Comfortable running content workshops and able to recommend on best tools and methods for content delivery
  • Experience producing style, governance and workflow guidelines
  • Demonstrated ability in managing, coaching and developing senior members of your team and wider community
  • Able to communicate effectively at all levels
  • Excellent commercial awareness
  • Strong stakeholder management skills
  • Strong awareness of content design/strategy trends and best practices

Desirable

  • Experience in assisting with or conducting research and analysing findings to identify content needs
  • Experience of working in a full-service digital agency environment
  • Experience working with Agile delivery methodologies
