Accountable for defining, implementing, and communicating Heathrow Technology architectures and roadmaps to deliver strategic technology goals aligned with business priorities within the relevant domain. Provides governance, expertise, and leadership across HAL Technology teams and the wider third‑party and support partner network. Also responsible for owning and managing the infrastructure and applications supporting all infrastructure systems across the Heathrow campus, including End User Computing hardware and management tools, authentication and identity management, back office systems, app and desktop virtualisation, and operational systems.

Responsibilities

  • To develop our Cyber Roadmap related specifically to EUC and to work with stakeholders to deliver this.
  • To develop the relationship with our Third Parties in support of the EUC solutions including engaging and owning the technical relationship with the vendors of these systems.
  • Input and oversee technical designs for new services as part of the Architecture Guild.
  • Develop and maintain policies, architectures, frameworks, roadmaps, and technical standards for Business domain that deliver the strategic Technology goals, business priorities and comply with HAL’s technical and industry/regulatory standards.
  • To take part in the technology Governance processes providing specialist knowledge and assurance that Project designs are fit for purpose and comply to HAL Standards and guidelines.
  • Provide solution/technology design oversight, assurance, and advice to ensure compliance of projects and programmes (and services) to architectural standards and roadmaps, resolving or escalating potential non‑compliance issues.

  • Proven track record in designing and delivering scalable, business‑focused solutions that address complex challenges.
  • Skilled in setting architectural strategy and leveraging emerging technologies to drive innovation and business value.
  • Adept at cultivating strong stakeholder relationships across diverse groups to influence outcomes and align priorities.
  • Served as the design authority across major programmes and project portfolios, ensuring consistency and strategic alignment.
  • Demonstrates sound judgment and decision‑making in managing relationships with key outsourced service providers.
  • Solid understanding of End User Computing (EUC) infrastructure and its integration with business processes to enhance operational efficiency.
