As a Technical Documentation Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and delivering high-quality technical documentation that meets customer requirements, drawing on information from design drawings, LSAR outputs, and OEM manuals and data. Working closely with engineering teams, subcontractors, and Supply Chain colleagues, you will coordinate the timely provision of technical inputs to ensure compliant project delivery. You will manage documentation throughout its lifecycle within a Common Source Database (CSDB) environment, maintaining accuracy, consistency, and configuration control through to the creation and delivery of Interactive Electronic Technical Publications (IETPs) Accountable for the quality and product safety of their own scheduled work Production of Technical Data and Documentation are complete, coherent and consistent Awareness of key stakeholders and contract objectives and deliverables. Understanding of current Military and commercial standards and techniques and their application Accountable for configuration control on deliverables, including the liaison with Engineering team The Technical Documentation & Information (Digital) Team: The Technical Documentation & Information (Digital) Team comprises 19 colleagues across Portsmouth Naval Base and Filton, supporting the delivery of technical publications for Royal Navy platforms, including Type 45 and Type 26 programmes.
