The information, systems and networks to be protected will be a mix of Microsoft Cloud services and on-premises data centres straddling multiple regions and classification levels. \This is a senior role and the individual will be expected to shape solutions across Services, People, Policy and Process, Technology and Physical Infrastructure layers to meet requirements and achieve objectives. \n The role will range from advising on design, deploying and configuring new solutions, assessing existing deployments and client capabilities to make improvements and improve overall maturity. This role is situated within our Defence Business unit and requires a minimum of SC clearance, ideally DV clearance. \n Conceptualise and Architect SOC solutions (across service, people, process, technology and physical layers) including CONOPS and contribute to high level designs, low level designs and deployment level designs. \n Support the design of a range of security tools, such as: Splunk and Sentinel SIEM, Nessus Vulnerability management, Microsoft XDR and other as appropriate. \n \n Core Duties \n \n Solution architecture of Security Operations Centre solutions to meet specific customer requirements, across solution conceptualisation, architecture, design, build, deployment and operation covering Services, People, Policy and Processes, Technology and Physical Infrastructure layers. \n Knowledge and experience of design, build and deployment of SOC technology including at least two of SIEM, SOAR, EDR, Vulnerability Management, Threat Intelligence, to identify signs of an intrusion. \n Good understanding of industry best practice in Security Operations for Services, People, Policy and Process, Technology and Physical layers. \n Proficiency in risk assessment and vulnerability management. \n Knowledge of OnPrem architectures & design \n Understanding of security best practices (least privilege, encryption). \n Understanding how to design scalable and resilient architectures. \n Knowledge of Cloud security architectures & designs \n Understanding of security best practices (least privilege, encryption). \n Understanding how to design scalable and resilient architectures. \n Experience working with Government systems and senior stakeholders \n Experience working across a variety of delivery styles e.g. agile, lean, iterative/incremental, waterfall \n \n The Team \n We work hard and often go the extra mile, but we recognise people's efforts and that everyone has a life outside of work.
