Your impact: Do you want to play a key role in delivering the future of combat air for the UK and our international partners in Italy and Japan? As a Project Manager within the Integrated Communications System Global Combat Air Programme IPT, you will be pivotal in helping to deliver a balanced and well-rounded programme for our GCAP First International Contract. Based in Southampton, you'll collaborate closely with a number of cross-functional teams to drive performance, efficiency, and innovation, while shaping the future of the GCAP ICS Project Team.
What you'll do as a PM within the GCAP First International Contract:
- Maintain accurate financial tracking and forecasting of project labour and non-labour, as well as Earned Value Management.
- Generate and maintain project schedules, milestones and deliverables.
- Run weekly Integrated Project Team Meetings.
- Support Engineering Leads with Work Package Management activities and collate data to support internal and external reporting.
- Support the Risk Manager in developing and maintaining the Risk and Opportunities Register.
- Own and drive the Sub-System management documents (support where not leading).
- Generate and continuously develop future resource growth plans.
- Support Next Phase bids.
- Support face-to-face meetings across the UK, Italy and Japan.
What you'll bring:
- Project Management experience in all phases of the Project Lifecycle, including Business Winning Phases, across several projects or programmes of medium complexity, involving both Engineering and Manufacturing.
- Experience of delivering technical electronic and/or software products.
- Demonstrable ability to develop and maintain customer/supplier relations.
- Experience or awareness of related functions such as Commercial, Procurement, Quality Assurance.
- Experience in all aspects of Project Planning, Scheduling, Work Package Management and Cost Control.
- Knowledge of Primavera P6 and/or MS Project.
- Experience using SAP based tools.
- Ability to influence, inspire and motivate project teams.
- Willingness to travel both nationally and internationally.
