We're looking for a Database Developer to solve complex data quality, reconciliation and migration challenges across multiple systems and production datasets. Working within a team of six Database Developers, you'll develop integrations, support production systems, investigate data issues and support a major data migration and modernisation programme. Ideal for someone who enjoys untangling complex data problems, validating migration outcomes and working with messy real-world datasets.
Responsibilities- Investigate and resolve data quality issues across multiple systems
- Develop ETL processes, data migrations and reconciliation solutions to ensure data integrity
- Contribute to database design, performance, security, backup and compliance standards
- Work within the SDLC using Git source control, JIRA and CI/CD pipelines
- Manage database access, security and availability requirements
- Use AI-assisted development tools
- Experience with SQL Server and PostgreSQL
- Experience creating, maintaining and troubleshooting ETL processes
- Strong SQL skills, including complex joins, data reconciliation and stored procedure development
- Detail-oriented, methodical and self-directed approach to problem solving
- A love of technology and desire to continuously learn and improve
- Experience with non-relational databases, particularly ledger-style data models
- Experience with databases in the AWS Cloud, such as Aurora, DynamoDB and AWS Glue
- Experience with large, complex or mixed-quality datasets
- Experience within Insurance, Claims, Fraud or Financial Services
- GDPR and Information security awareness
- Experience of producing test data for QA environments
- Working with API integrations (JSON, Restful etc)
- Working with .NET
