We're looking for a Presales Consultant to join a growing commercial team. You'll work directly with clients to understand their business challenges, co-create solutions with delivery and technical teams, and translate that into proposals and presentations that win business. The role sits at the intersection of client engagement, solution design and commercial strategy, working closely with customers, partners and delivery practices to shape and secure opportunities.

What you'll do:

  • Engage directly with client stakeholders through discovery sessions and workshops to understand their business challenges and shape the solution responses.
  • Lead RFx opportunities end-to-end, and ability to take a core role on larger strategic bids.
  • Map client stakeholder landscapes, identifying decision-makers, influencers and blockers, and adapt positioning and messaging accordingly.
  • Translate technical capability into commercial arguments and value cases that resonate with senior client decision-makers.
  • Develop case studies, solution narratives and value propositions tailored to specific client needs, working alongside SMEs and delivery teams to co-create the approach.
  • Participate in and help lead client workshops, solution demonstrations and oral presentations.
  • Analyse competitor positioning and market intelligence, feeding insight into deal strategy and win themes.
  • Track win conversion across your opportunities and actively work to improve win rate.
  • Bring genuine interest and point of view on AI in presales, helping shape where automation and AI tooling can improve response quality, speed and win rate across the team.
  • Act as a connective link across commercial, delivery and technology teams.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in IT services or technology consulting, ideally with direct client-facing exposure.
  • Curiosity about AI tools and their application to presales, with ideas on where they can improve response quality and efficiency.
  • Confident engaging with senior client stakeholders in discovery, workshops or presentations, and comfortable challenging or shaping their thinking.
  • Proven ability to take a proposal from blank page to submission, and comfortable owning the solution narrative and client relationship around it.
  • Commercial awareness, understanding how deals are structured and why clients actually buy.
  • Analytical mindset, comfortable interpreting market data and competitive intelligence to sharpen a bid.
  • Advanced MS Office skills (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
  • Organised, deadline-driven, comfortable managing several workstreams at once.
