We have a brand new opportunity for a Portfolio Lead to join our Strategy, Architecture & Performance function, to provide end-to-end oversight of a technology portfolio, helping to shape priorities, inform investment decisions and ensure work is aligned to clear business outcomes while supporting future roadmaps and delivery plans.
Working with a wide range of teams and stakeholders, you'll play a key role in delivering value, enabling growth and supporting continuous improvement.
This role can be based out of any of our Head Office sites in Paddington, Southampton or Yeovil, with an expectation of 12 days a month in the office and travel to sites across the Group as required.
Lead the management of the portfolio for the current financial year and three-year planning horizon, providing a clear view of work in delivery, planned activity and new demand.
Facilitate annual and quarterly portfolio review cycles, ensuring priorities are aligned with business outcomes, capacity, dependencies, costs and risks.
Partner with Technology Directors, Product teams and Chapters to support effective planning, governance and investment decision-making.
Work closely with Finance teams to maintain financial integrity, support cost control and contribute to budgeting and forecasting activities.
Monitor portfolio performance, identify risks and opportunities, and drive actions that support successful delivery and strategic outcomes.
Facilitate post-implementation reviews and use insights to encourage continuous improvement across portfolio management practices.
Help shape and evolve portfolio ways of working across the Group, supporting change and guiding Portfolio Analysts within your area of responsibility.
Strong experience of portfolio data management, analysis and reporting.
Working knowledge of portfolio financial management, including investment planning, budgeting and forecasting.
Ability to balance commercial considerations with business value and outcomes when assessing priorities and investment decisions.
Experience working effectively across matrix environments, building trusted partnerships and influencing a broad range of stakeholders.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to engage and influence senior leaders.
