Requirements
- Deep understanding of coding best practices and modern architectural patterns, including microservices and message-driven architectures.
- Experience developing applications with non-functional requirements in mind.
- Experience in application and digital services design.
- Proficiency in software engineering practices such as code reviews, CI/CD pipelines, and SOLID/DRY principles.
- Hands-on experience with JavaScript/TypeScript, Angular, React, and Node.
- Hands-on experience with Java, Spring Boot, and Hibernate.
- Desirable: Kotlin.
- Experience in estimation and sizing.
- Experience in integration and API design.
- Proficiency in cloud technologies.
- Appetite to work with emerging AI technologies.
- SC eligible.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership within a team to coordinate and deliver scalable, secure solutions in line with industry best practices.
- Work within a project management and agile delivery methodology to ensure timely and high-quality delivery of software applications.
- Take technical ownership of a product or software solution, covering design, estimation, shaping, and user story and requirement creation.
- Document solutions, including architecture, configuration, release, and support handover.
- Collaborate and liaise with stakeholders and end users throughout the software development lifecycle, including PMs, BAs, testing, and product teams.
- Clearly communicate technical designs in conversation, documentation, and presentations to stakeholders of varying technical ability.
- Provide effective knowledge transfer to team members and customers.
- Manage, coach, and develop junior members of the team and the wider community.
- Foster a positive working environment and facilitate team collaboration and communication.
