Infrastructure Engineer

Location: Frimley - Hybrid working 2/3 days onsite

Role Description

• The design of the technical infrastructure to support the whole solution.
• The production of all supporting designs for inclusion in the LLD and the associated configuration of the solution.
• The build, commissioning and acceptance of the technical solution.
• Delivering a coherent and technically integrated solution in line with the requirements.
• Run, support and attend all appropriate workshops and meetings.
• Managing the Bill of Materials and ensuring delivery of all items in line with the project schedule.
• Supervising the installation and commissioning of the infrastructure, including the appropriate sub-contractors.
• Updating and managing the Bill of Materials with approved changes and updated technical specifications in line with the infrastructure design.
• Stakeholder management as it pertains to the infrastructure design.

Essential Requirements

• Campus networking experience - design build and config (typical vendors Dell, Juniper, Palo Alto, Fortinet, Arista).
• Detailed knowledge of IP networking, DNS, routing, VPN, firewalls.
• Experience in network design and familiarity with domain control inc. AD, DNS, NPS.
• Experience in virtual servers and networking using technologies such as VMWare, Proxmox.
• Ability to analyse and understand existing designs and requirements.
• Experience working in handling physical hardware in environments supporting rack build, networking, trouble-shooting.
