Requirements:
- Proven development experience working as a Lead Engineer in a commercial development team
- Expert understanding of Java, TypeScript and Angular, with wider experience across tools and frameworks in the stack
- Knowledge of AWS cloud technologies
- Experience working with agile methodologies
- Ability to consider clients' wider business concerns when making technical decisions and handling stakeholder challenges
- Experience implementing architecture, DevOps, performance or security best practices as a Lead Engineer
- Understanding and ownership of best practices such as TDD, SOLID and XP
Responsibilities:
- Lead and guide the development team, providing direction and oversight of technical delivery for digital products and cross-cutting initiatives
- Help establish and follow engineering principles and best practices to ensure consistency and quality in the engineering process
- Share engineering insight and experience with the wider Strategy and Architecture team to identify opportunities to improve engineering
- Mentor and coach more junior members of staff to improve team capability
