Core Duties:
- Designing new and/or developing existing electro/mechanical designs relating to torpedo products.
- Produce technical documentation in line with company guidelines and deliver mechanical design presentations in design review discussions and supplier/stakeholder meetings.
- Perform established analysis techniques (structural/thermal) and conduct mechanical tests to confirm compliance with design requirements.
- Apply existing knowledge in the selection and development of appropriate materials and manufacturing techniques.
- Have an understanding of the Engineering LCM process and assist Engineering Governance and Requirements Capture activities.
- Establish and build positive working relationships with different engineering disciplines and competencies within the business, supplier and stakeholder communities in order to improve performance of the business.
- Undertake continuous professional development as required in order to build own skill, knowledge and competence within the discipline.
Essential Skills:
- You will have a degree in Mechanical Engineering and have an understanding of mathematical and engineering first principles.
- You will be able to apply problem solving skills.
