Responsibilities

• We support and maintain essential services that support core mission applications, proactively improving availability, performance and stability.
• We use software and systems engineering expertise to automate work and reduce manual operations.
• We focus on innovative solutions rather than repetitive work.
• We instrument applications where monitoring is insufficient and use the results to demonstrate daily improvements.
• We work alongside product teams, advising on good practice for system design and build.
• We understand the relationship between software and infrastructure and how to get the best from the infrastructure our systems run on.
• We participate in the wider Dev Ops and SRE community within our organisation.

This Site Reliability Engineer role is based in Gloucester, with hybrid and flexible working arrangements available.
