Full Stack Developer, Aladdin Trading Engineering

Salary: £42,500 - 70,500 per year

Requirements

• We require a bachelors or masters degree in computer science, engineering, or a related technical field.
• We require at least 4 years of proven experience as a Full Stack Engineer, preferably in trading, finance, or similarly complex environments.
• We require strong proficiency in modern web frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.
• We require proven experience with object-oriented programming languages such as Java 17.
• We consider experience designing and maintaining RESTful APIs and GraphQL APIs a plus.
• We require experience working with SQL and NoSQL databases, including highly available distributed NoSQL data storage platforms such as Ignite.
• We require the ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• We require a strong understanding of the software development life cycle, agile methodologies, and best engineering practices.
• We require a strong understanding of design patterns in an enterprise environment.
• We require excellent problem-solving skills and an analytical mindset.
• We prefer prior experience working in trading or financial services technology teams.
• We prefer knowledge of trading protocols and low-latency systems.
• We prefer familiarity with data analytics and visualization tools.
• We prefer experience working with Spring Framework and Spring Boot web services.

Responsibilities

• We design, develop, and maintain scalable web applications and backend services to support trading operations.
• We collaborate with cross-functional teams including traders, product managers, and other engineers to define requirements and deliver solutions.
• We implement and optimize high-performance APIs, microservices, and data processing pipelines.
• We ensure best practices in code quality, testing, deployment, and security.
• We troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across the full stack with a focus on reliability and efficiency.
• We continuously research and adopt new technologies to improve team productivity and system performance.
• We mentor junior engineers and contribute to a positive, innovative team culture.
