hackajob is partnering directly with Rentokil Initial to hire for this role. This role is responsible for the provision of high quality support, information, and analysis on all aspects of finance to the Group IT function.

Responsibilities

  • Liaising with various LT teams across the Group to ensure that costs are being captured correctly and in accordance with relevant accounting standards/SOX controls.
  • Lead finance/budget reviews.
  • Lead the quarterly forecasting process for GIS, including identifying risks and opportunities, and variance analysis/commentary.
  • Manage the month-end process, including monthly accruals/prepayments and journals in line with the relevant accounting policies and procedures.
  • Maintain regular updates to the Global IT Forecasting model and provide relevant data insights to the ITLT.
  • Line management of an Assistant Management Accountant & Junior Finance Data Analyst.
  • Ensure compliance with necessary accounting standards and SOX controls.
  • Assist in the annual budget preparation process - coordinate for the IT function.
  • Provide relevant, meaningful, and insightful financial information/analysis to assist departmental managers in their decision-making process.
  • Ensure integrity of financial reporting.
  • Be the go to finance member for IT.

Main tasks

  • Ensuring SOX processes are followed and documented.
  • Hold regular budget reviews with the ITLT to manage the forecast, risks & opportunities.
  • Complete IT month end processes by the relevant deadlines including general journals, recurring journals, recharges, and monthly forecast by COB WD5.
  • Complete GIS recharges timely and accurately on a monthly basis.
  • Line Management and development of Assistant Management Accountant & Junior Finance Data Analyst.
  • Produce monthly reporting packs for IT cost centre managers and CIO.
  • Produce quarterly slide deck and associated summaries for the IT quarterly business review.
  • Work closely with IT PMO and the wider finance team to ensure recharges and capitalisation of costs are completed accurately and correctly.
  • Work with IT PMO and IT project managers to manage IT business cases before they are presented at the IT investment committee.

Requirements

  • Fully Qualified - ACA, ACCA or CIMA.
  • Skilled and articulate verbal communicator.
  • Excellent Excel skills.
  • Experience of working in a large business environment.
