Salary: Β£30,500 - 50,500 per year

Requirements:

  • An active interest in cyber security, including ethical hacking, vulnerability research, or reverse engineering
  • An inquisitive mindset and enthusiasm for solving challenging, complex research problems
  • Knowledge of vulnerability types, such as stack or heap overflows and use-after-free, and common mitigations
  • Familiarity with at least one high-level language, such as C, C++, or Java
  • A foundation in several relevant areas, which may include scripting with Python, Linux and shell use, networking, Capture the Flag challenges, Ghidra, ethical hacking, Android and adb shell, or hardware hacking
  • Strong interpersonal skills and enthusiasm for working with others
  • Students entering their final year in 2027 may be considered for a contract in our 2028 graduate intake after completing the internship

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with peers in small teams, usually of two to three people
  • Undertake research projects that provide insight into the work we deliver for clients
  • Tackle real project demands and unresolved technical challenges
  • Contribute to research focused primarily on mobile and embedded technologies, using Ghidra for reverse engineering and suitable languages such as C, C++, Python, or assembly for proof-of-concept work
