Help deliver world-class London Symphony Orchestra music events at the Barbican!

The Barbican Music Department are looking for a highly motivated and experienced production coordinator to join our production team on a maternity cover contract.

The role will be supporting the production team in the coordination and management of London Symphony Orchestra (LSO) music events. Working across all genres of the LSO music programme on events and festivals in the Barbican Hall and ancillary areas, relating to planning and logistics and contributing to the delivery of their Barbican productions to the highest technical and artistic standard, and, may on occasion, be called upon for on-the-day attendance and management cover for certain events.

We are seeking a resourceful and dynamic individual with a genuine passion for the live arts industry (specifically music), who has some relevant experience of working in an artistic environment and the delivery of creative projects.

Knowledge, skills & experience

  • You will have great written communication skills with attention to detail and the ability to organise complex itineraries in relation to live music events planning.
  • You will have experience of coordinating and supporting live arts events/creative projects to the highest standard.
  • You will be flexible and proactive in your approach and able to work under pressure in a multitask environment as part of a team.
  • You will have an understanding of international standards, and knowledge of the technical and production elements involved in live music.
  • You will have great communication skills with the ability to develop and maintain productive relationships with contract partners, artists and Barbican staff.
