Location: This will be an office-based role within the operational area of the main distribution centre (in Didcot, Oxfordshire).

What You’ll Be Doing: On a day-to-day basis you will be dealing with all aspects of operational contacts with internal and external stakeholders for the business. You will manage the operations reception desk, handle deliveries and collections, liaise with the warehouse to obtain timely unload information, respond to emails and calls, coordinate with publishers, printers and suppliers to book shipments and process manifests, and keep daily KPIs, discrepancies and non-conformances up to date. Maintaining deliveries to ensure maximum capacity is not exceeded. Daily use of BlueYonder (JDA), Pub App and Biblio. Creation of Goods In delivery packs. Liaising with printers and publishers on discrepancies and non-conformances. Proactively maintaining first-class relationships with suppliers and publishers. Liaising effectively with all other departments to enable swift problem solving and maintain excellent communication internally and externally, ensuring special requirements are met on time.

Qualifications & Experience: You will live and breathe the Hachette UK Vision and have a passionate and proactive approach to delivering excellent client and supplier service. You will enjoy liaising with, and collaboratively working with, the operations team, the customer services team and Credit Services team as well as our client publishers to resolve issues and continuously improve processes and procedures. It is highly likely that you will already have proven experience in supply chain operations, transport, distribution facilities, distribution services, hospitality, retail, customer service or procurement.
