The Role

This is a hands-on creative production role, leading the creation of video and photographic content across the business. You’ll take ownership of the full content process, from initial idea through to final delivery, creating engaging, on-brand content that supports campaigns, showcases our books and connects with audiences across multiple channels.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Creating high-quality video and photography for campaigns, books, authors and internal initiatives
  • Managing the full production process, including planning, scripting, shooting and editing
  • Producing content for a range of channels including social media, YouTube, sales materials and digital platforms
  • Supporting live content production where required
  • Working closely with teams across the business to respond to briefs and deliver creative solutions
  • Managing and developing the Usborne YouTube channel
  • Maintaining an organised library of creative assets
  • Keeping up to date with trends and identifying opportunities to improve content and formats

About you

We’re looking for someone with strong practical experience in content creation who enjoys a varied, hands-on role. You might currently be working in a creative production role, in-house or in an agency, or in a TV, broadcast or digital media environment, but you’ll be someone who is used to taking ideas and turning them into finished content. You’ll bring:

  • Proven experience in video and/or photographic content creation
  • Experience managing projects from concept through to delivery
  • Strong technical skills in filming, lighting, sound and editing
  • Experience creating content for digital and social platforms
  • The ability to interpret briefs and translate them into engaging content
  • A good understanding of brand and visual consistency

Alongside this, you’ll be:

  • Organised and able to manage multiple priorities
  • Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively
  • A clear communicator, able to build strong working relationships
  • Adaptable and proactive, with a practical, solutions-focused approach
  • Someone who enjoys making things happen and seeing ideas through

Experience in a fast-paced creative, agency or broadcast environment would be an advantage.
