Work pattern: Full time, Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm, working from home 1 day per week.

Inspired and informed by the unique historic playing conditions of two beautiful iconic theatres, our diverse programme of work harnesses the power of performance, cultivates intellectual curiosity, and excites learning to make Shakespeare accessible for all.

Shakespeare's Globe is seeking a Learning Coordinator to join the Learning team which focuses on delivering a range of projects for young people, schools and teachers. This team is responsible for coordinating the delivery of the groundbreaking annual Playing Shakespeare with Deutsche Bank project; daily Lively Action workshops which bring Shakespeare to life for students from across the globe; high quality CPD for teachers, and a vast range of other projects, both revenue-generating and funded.

The Learning Coordinator will be responsible for planning and delivering day-to-day and project-based Learning activity. This is essentially a project management role that offers the opportunity to work with a positive and inspiring team of permanent colleagues and freelance creatives, and to have a wide-ranging impact on young people across the UK and beyond.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Plan, coordinate and evaluate the delivery of Learning products and projects under the direction of the Learning team managers, always keeping our impact on young people’s learning and lives at the forefront of your mind.
  • Organise and lead meetings with colleagues at Shakespeare’s Globe, freelance Globe Education Practitioners, and external partners (including schools) to ensure the smooth running of your allocated projects and products.
  • Communicate with teachers, other educational staff & freelance practitioners to ensure that successful bookings are made and managed according to the needs of primary and secondary schools across the UK and overseas.
  • Coordinate and administrate learning projects and productions with schools, families and community groups to ensure projects are well planned, managed and logistically successful, as well as within budget.
  • Liaise with other Globe staff and departments to ensure a joined-up and efficient use of space and resources for all activities, such as Lively Action workshops and teacher CPD workshops.
  • Support the Director of Education (Learning) and Head of Learning in ensuring freelancers working on our projects and products are positively and successfully managed and properly supported.
  • Process practitioner payments and expenses and ensure the prompt payment of freelance staff using financial software.

  • Excellent administrative skills with a good working knowledge of Windows-based software (particularly Excel); some familiarity with digital meeting platforms (e.g. Zoom or Teams) and customer relationship management (CRM) systems.

We are the current holders of the School Travel Awards ‘Best Venue for English Learning’ Award (2024 and 2025).
