Location: Remote with travel to Central England and North Wales incorporating South Yorkshire, Manchester, Cheshire, Lincolnshire, Nottinghamshire, Leicestershire, Staffordshire and Shropshire.

What you’ll be doing
Reporting to the Group Field Sales Director – you will be joining an experienced team of UK field sales professionals. Key responsibilities include:
- Ensuring that all Hachette publishing divisions and reputation within the territory is maintained to its highest potential and the best customer service is offered.
- Meeting or exceeding the budget and forecast for your region.
- Regular travel to customers across the region of Central England and North Wales.
- Working with bookshops and booksellers in the territory to ensure that accounts are well informed of the complete Hachette UK divisions backlist and front-list.
- Assisting with end-to-end ordering process of all orders.
- Organising sales trips in the region, keeping within travel budget.
- Identifying new markets and customers in the territory to achieve sales growth and increase market share.
- Developing strong product knowledge across the Hachette divisions.
- Running and analysing sales figures to adapt sales strategy and focus as needed.
- Maintaining a database of contacts.
- Providing feedback to Group Field Sales Director on sales, trends within the Independent bookshop market and on publishing opportunities as and when required.
- Providing feedback on operational processes.

We’re looking for someone with excellent written and verbal communication, who can offer excellent customer support. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, highly organised and able to work well independently as well as part of a team. Ability to manage a busy workload and prioritisation is required, as is confidence in learning and using various IT systems.
