What you’ll be doing
- Work closely with the central Management Accounts team to ensure invoices are coded correctly and in a timely manner.
- Ensure that where applicable invoices are coded against the correct purchase order; this involves investigative work.
- Act as the main point for queries from the central Accounts Payable team.
- Perform ad‑hoc tasks as required by the business and finance teams.
- Manage the AP Invoice inbox and ensure queries are dealt with efficiently.
- Liaise with wider stakeholders to obtain the correct PO or coding, such as finance business partners and finance directors.
- Provide training to non‑finance staff on how Kofax (SAP invoice approver) works.
Who we are looking for
Skills/Knowledge:
- Ability to solve problems and maintain a flexible approach.
- Knowledge of invoice processing.
- Understanding the purpose of purchase orders.
- Understanding the purpose of an Accounts Payable approval matrix.
Experience:
- Familiarity with accounting systems, preferably SAP.
Qualifications:
- AAT accounting qualification or higher desirable but not essential.
