Who we are looking for

  • Experience/Knowledge
    • Experience of Okta, including a strong understanding of starter and leaver process within Okta.
    • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory, Azure, O365, SCCM and Intune.
    • Proven hands-on experience in these technologies.
    • Microsoft associate or expert certification is preferred.
    • JAMF Accreditation.
    • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical users.

What you’ll be doing

  • The core purpose of the role of an EUC Engineer is to provide a consistent and reliable user experience across laptops, desktops, mobiles and meeting-room equipment.
  • Manage MDMs to enrol, configure, secure, update and support devices across Hachette UK and Hachette India using Intune, SCCM and JAMF.
  • Maintain and manage Microsoft services, including Active Directory, Azure AD (ENTRA), SCCM, Intune and O365.
  • Ensure these services operate optimally and securely, with cyber security best practices.
  • Manage Okta to help maintain Hachette's identity & access management platform to enable seamless automation for starters, leavers and mover processes.
  • Maintain our Apple Mac and iPad estate using JAMF services.
  • Maintain high levels of compliance across our end-user estate to adhere to our security policies (using Qualys and Crowdstrike reporting where possible to check compliance).
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders and external vendors to efficiently deliver projects, ensuring successful implementation within defined timelines and budgets.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues related to end-user computing, encompassing both hardware and software components.
  • Proactively address any challenges that may arise, striving to minimise downtime and enhance user experience.
  • Develop, update and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including user guides, process documentation and training materials.
  • Ensure that all documentation is kept up to date.
  • Collaborate closely with other IT team members and various departments to ensure the seamless delivery of IT services.
  • Promote effective communication and cooperation to achieve common goals.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and support to all employees regarding EUC-related concerns.
  • Act as a primary point of escalation for inquiries to ensure high levels of user satisfaction.
  • Implement, maintain and administer a variety of SaaS-based solutions as required such as Zoom, Dropbox, DocuSign, Adobe, etc.
