We’re looking for a Conveyancing Paralegal / Legal Support
Buying a home should not be complicated, stressful, or slow.
At Habito, our mission is to make homeownership easier and that means supporting people all the way through the conveyancing process. That is why we launched our in-house conveyancing firm, fully regulated by the CLC, to work hand in hand with our brokerage.
We are looking for a Paralegal or Legal Support professional to help our conveyancers deliver a high quality service to clients. You do not have to have experience in a residential conveyancing firm, though it is a bonus. What matters most is your attention to detail, organisational skills, collaborative mindset, and proactive attitude. In this role, you will help fee earners manage their caseloads and keep transactions moving smoothly.
We are a collaborative team, united by the belief that home ownership can and should be better. The role demands adaptability, focus, and the ability to stay calm under pressure.
More about what you’ll do:
- Take ownership of administrative and support tasks for conveyancers, including document preparation, filing, and managing correspondence
- Liaise with clients, third parties, and colleagues to ensure deadlines are met and cases progress efficiently
- Organise and maintain case files, ensuring accuracy and compliance
- Support conveyancers with tasks across sales, purchases, re-mortgages, new build developments, and Help to Buy schemes
- Provide feedback on workflows and systems to help improve efficiency and the team’s experience
- Contribute to a positive, collaborative team culture, helping cases move smoothly and supporting colleagues as needed
More about you:
- Strong administrative skills and a high level of attention to detail
- Organised, proactive, and able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
- Collaborative and team focused, with a can do attitude
- Excellent communication skills, comfortable liaising with clients, colleagues, and third parties
- Motivated to learn and grow, with a willingness to take ownership of tasks and improve processes
- Experience in residential property or legal work is a bonus but not essential
- Comfortable using tools like Hoowla and Slack is helpful but not required
The benefits
- Discretionary bonus (company performance dependent)
- Remote-first working
- Flexible holiday – 25 days holiday and more if you need it! (this is team dependent)
- Enhanced maternity & paternity leave – for when you plan to start a family
- Life assurance – 4 x your annual salary
- Career progression – we help you build your career
- Contributory pension scheme – We have an ethical pension fund, but you can decide where you put your money
- International remote working for up to 20 days a year
- Volunteering – 2 days paid volunteering each year for charity of your choice
- Sick pay – up to 5 days sick covered each year
- Casual dress
- GAYE – Give As You Earn – donate to a charity of your choice via payroll.
