We are seeking a detail-oriented and organised Bookkeeper to join our finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts payable, and ensuring the integrity of financial data using various accounting software programmes. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a strong background in bookkeeping and accounting principles to contribute to the smooth financial operations of our organisation.
Duties
- Record and reconcile financial transactions using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero
- Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely processing of invoices and payments
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records in accordance with organisational policies
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures
- Prepare financial reports and summaries for management review
- Support internal audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure accuracy of financial data
- Monitor and report on outstanding payments and overdue accounts
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar role within an organisation
- Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero is essential
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and procedures
- Experience with accounts payable processes is highly desirable
- Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- A recognised qualification in accounting or finance is advantageous but not mandatory
