We have a vacancy for a Settlements Analyst to join our UK team based in Oxford. This role is essential for maintaining our financial integrity, ensuring we are settled accurately by industry counterparties such as NESO and Elexon, and that our clients are billed correctly. The Analyst will collaborate closely with external third parties and internal departments to effectively deliver our back-office functions across the full scope of our UK market activities.
You will be responsible for:
- Confirmation, reconciliation, and settlement of all trading activity and industry costs
- Validation of metering and settlement data, and resolution of issues
- Support on industry registration activities as part of the onboarding process for new sites and clients
- Preparation of monthly client billing and reconciliations
- Resolving client settlement and industry charge related queries
Requirements
Preferred skills and experience:
- A robust understanding of the UK energy market, with proven experience operating within the BSC and REC frameworks.
- Strong numerical and problem-solving skills including the ability to assess errors and variances to reconcile data.
- Exceptional attention to detail, adaptability, and commitment to continuous improvement.
- Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders both internal and external.
‘Nice to have’ skills and experience:
- Experience of wholesale trade settlement processes.
- Experience of client billing and settlement processes for batteries or generation assets.
- Experience of process automation using e.g. Python, SQL.
