We currently have a vacancy for an Origination Manager to join the UK Business Development Team. You will work with the Head of Contract Management to support the development and growth of our core optimisation service offering, tender and contract for new optimisation opportunities, and manage ongoing relationships with our clients. This exciting role will put you at the commercial heart of the UK business, provide a unique development opportunity and with significant responsibility from day one. The role will allow you to continually develop new skills and experiences as Habitat Energy grows and the markets we operate in evolve. You will drive the success of the UK business, helping build on our market-leading offering and grow our contracted optimisation portfolio beyond its current ~2 GW capacity. You will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to develop and pursue new opportunities, including leading on new commercial negotiations.
You Will Be Responsible For:
- Responding to tenders for new battery optimisation services opportunities, including the development and maintenance of our core sales and presentation materials.
- Contracting and negotiating new battery storage optimisation opportunities, with support from the UK Head of Contract Management and our legal team.
- Managing relationships with new and existing clients, serving as a key coordinator between clients and internal experts.
Requirements:
- Strong interpersonal, verbal and visual communication skills.

- Proven ability to understand complex problems and design innovative solutions.

Extra Credit If You Can Demonstrate:
- 1 - 3 years work experience in an energy origination/contracting role.
- Evidence of client relationship management experience.
- Battery-specific origination or analysis experience.
- Experience in spot/real-time flexibility markets.
- Experience with R/Python for data manipulation and big data (eg. Pandas).
