The Centre for Accessible Environments (CAE) has been a leading authority on inclusive design for over 40 years. We provide consultancy, training, research and publications on building design and management to meet all user needs, including disabled and older people. CAE pioneered the provision of access guidance for building designers based on collaborative research with disabled people. CAE is a leader in developing the case for designing for disabled people in inclusive design. As the recognised experts in the field, CAE helps organisations meet their duties under the Equality Act 2010 through our research, consultancy, training, and guidance publications.

You will oversee the planning, resourcing, and directing the completion of CAE projects liaising with clients and the CAE team while ensuring these projects are on track and within budget, managing risks and dependencies within scope. The role is varied and diverse from project managing an audit for a charity to large scale consultancy projects for multinational companies. In essence, you will work with clients from defining their brief, writing bids, client liaison and ultimately delivery and programmes of work. You will be adept at stakeholder engagement, great at planning and managing multiple projects on the go and a team player.

You will have experience working within a project or coordinator role and have a track record of providing high quality support to deliver successful projects. In addition, excellent attention to detail, the ability to prioritise and organise, and fantastic communication skills are essential. The ability to work collaboratively and on your own autonomy, strong management of multiple projects and work to tight deadlines will be crucial to your success in the role.
